Founded by a designer. Not a watch company.

Laphont started with a question: what happens when you design a watch the way you'd design a sculpture — form first, convention second? No heritage mythology. No Swiss village backstory. Just an obsession with shape, material, and the point where function meets art.

Every piece begins as a sketch, then a 3D model, then months of iteration on proportion and weight. The cases are sculpted, not stamped from a template. The movements are Japanese-made Miyota quartz — the same caliber found in watches at three times the price. We chose them because they're accurate, reliable, and let us put the investment where it belongs: into what you actually see and feel on your wrist.

We don't spend on flagship retail or ambassador deals. We sell directly, keep our margins honest, and put the difference into the product. The result is a watch built to a standard that shouldn't be possible under $120.

That's not a pitch. It's just the math.
